Green Companies Hiring, Creating Demand for Housing

Two local technology firms are expanding, thanks to federal stimulus funds and the demand for biofuels, creating an eco-boom in the Murrieta and Temecula foreclosures market as more workers flock to the region. SRS Engineering of Murrieta builds biodiesel plants throughout the country. With revenues of $5.37 million in 2008, the 25 year old company was doing all right in the recession. Recent interest in biofuels however has sent orders skyrocketing in recent months and the company expects 2009 revenues to top $20 million. They are stepping up production and hiring dozens of workers in the next few months to meet demand.
In nearby San Jacinto, Ecolife Biofuels is putting the finishing touches on their biodiesel plant they hope to have open by early summer. Company officials there say they expect to hire an additional 6 to 10 workers in the coming months. This sudden interest in eco-technology firms is drawing higher paid workers to southwest Riverside County foreclosures market, looking for quality homes in great neighborhoods at affordable prices.
